Description: Providing OSMP and other Emergency Personnel detailed sensitive information of all drivable access roads in and around OSMP lands. Roads are classified into four criteria based on ease of access. Information source includes USGS, Boulder County, and City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks GIS dataRoads are classified 1 if they are paved, gravel, and wide. Class 2 is more narrow, steep, bumpy and moderately severe. Class 3 represents severe conditions may exist like narrow byways over steep terrain, unmarked roadways, tree and rock blockage or loose rock. The most severe classification is ranked 4 and represents the most treacherous terrain conditions for driving.OSMP Rangers identified potential access routes to OSMP properties for use in emergency response with OSMP GIS StaffFor OSMP Trails, Trail Condition Designed Use ratings displayed in the Trails Managed for Authorized Motor Vehicle Use layer provide more detailed classifications of appropriate uses in emergency and non-emergency situations.
